While I usually send you emails about little Mac utilities I build on my Gumroad page, today I have something a bit 'bigger'. For the last six months I've been playing around with the new SharePlay framework that Apple introduced over the summer to build Navi.
Navi adds transcriptions and live translation to your FaceTime calls.
I initially made it for deaf and hard of hearing people, to help bring FaceTime into their lives. In April I built Unmute, which let mute people speak on the phone, and this project grew from that.
But, when I plugged translation into Navi, it's value really became clear to me. You're now able to speak to friends and family who speak a different language! It's quite sci-fi to me!
On the Mac, Navi integrates directly with the FaceTime window. And on iPhone there's a really nice Picture in Picture integration.
Unlock Unlimited Calls for free
Anyhow... I've made the 'Unlimited Calls' In App Purchase free until the end of the year as a thank you for downloading my previous products here on Gumroad. You can unlock it from the Settings page.
Navi is also up on Product Hunt today. If that's your thing. I would love an upvote and a comment:
As always, let me know if you have any suggestions on how I can improve the app. Always open to constructive feedback!
Have a great New Year,
